在卡上可能會看到一種LED會持續閃爍(blinking LED).

這個是heartbeat LED, 主要作為RAID HBA的檢錯偵測用途.

The D2 LED on the 8708ELP is the heartbeat LED. If the controller is functioning normally, the heartbeat LED should be blinking. If the heartbeat LED is completely off or solid red, it generally means that the controller is an error condition.

Some examples of conditions which can cause a solid red heartbeat LED:

The processor is frozen.
A firmware flash did not complete prior to powering down.
